Uploading multiple images in Drupal 6

As I wrote earlier (in Dutch), there are many ways to use image galleries in Drupal. Thanks to one of our readers we became aware of a new Drupal module called fupload made by Stefan from Germany.

New weblog: Wonen in Breda

Besides our work for clients, we like to use our webdesign skills to contribute in other projects. For example sponsoring events like the Delft Challenge, helping out the Diving community and now: setting up a publishing platform titled 'Wonen in Breda'.

Two weeks until Drupalcon

In two weeks, Erik and I will be flying to Budapest to attend the Drupalcon in Szeged. The organization around the event is going along pretty smoothly.

New marketing tool from Google

Google presented a  new tool a couple of days ago: Google Insights for Search. At a first glance it looks a bit like a cross between Google Trends and the Google Keyword Tool.

Open Source CMS: what's hot and what's not?

The specialists in open-source web solutions at Water&Stone produced an interesting 50 pages report (download the PDF here) about open-source content management systems.

To find out what's hot and what's not, they used a number of services and sources to compare the popularity of 19 systems. So it's not a comparison on functionality but rather on market share. Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal were labeled as 'market leaders' in the survey.

Recently, we were getting more comment spam on our experimental Drupal-site diveheads.com which Akismet failed to intercept. A good reason to try out Mollom, the new spam-fighter on the block.

Google heeft zijn intrede gedaan in de virtuele werelden door Lively te lanceren.

Het aardige aan Lively is dat je virtuele kamers gemakkelijk kan embedden in je website. Zie de kamer hieronder die ik snel aangemaakt heb. Om in te loggen moet je de kleine client downloaden en een google-account hebben.

A guide for moving a Drupal site to another server

Most of the time we use our own, dedicated, hosting to stay clear of potential issues like safe_mode, memory limits or maximum file uploads. Sometimes however, a client wants or needs to stay at his own hosting solutions. In that case there are some things you should be aware of when moving the site with database from your development environment to the other server.
